For the more enthusiastic, walk to the Port Hughes jetty, linger at the café or tavern and then venture along the pristine, long and sandy Port Hughes beach. Here, you will marvel at the solitude of this beautiful coast line.

In the mid 1800’s Moonta’s reputation was one of the richest copper mines in Australia, with most of the mining undertaken by industrious Cornish miners. Remains of this mining era are everywhere, and there is even a tourist train and an underground mine to explore !
Visit the Moonta National Trust Museum, admire the quaint miner’s cottages and the impressive heritage buildings
Meanader through the main street of Moonta, with antique, secondhand and craft shops and enjoy a traditional Cornish pasty!
The nearby township of Kadina and Wallaroo are a 15 minute drive. Prepare to be astounded at the development of the Wallaroo Marina, high rise apartments, cafes and trendy housing.
A trip to the “Dunes” development and the proposed “Greg Norman Golf course” at Port Hughes is also a must. Blocks continue to sell rapidly!
